As a fashion-focused PR specialist with a knack for green fashion and sustainable clothing, I have decided to conduct a competitor analysis on Flamino Vintage Kilo, a world-renowned high end thrift and vintage retailer.

It is vital for any PR specialist or communications strategy professional to conduct this analysis for many reasons, including but not limited:
It allows companies and brands to see what kind of competition is in the market
It helps brands find a unique selling point that makes it different from its competitors
Brands are able to see what markets/niche groups are available for their industries as consumers
You are able to gauge their strengths and weaknesses with your own

My organization (TBA) will hold to the same ideals and foundations of other international vintage/thrift stores. Warehouse buys and walk-in sellers will be allowed.

Where my organization differs is that our primary focus will be upcyled clothing and local small designers. Rather than rely on fast fashion manufacturers, using my network of fashion acquaintances, models and designers, I think it would be possible to have a team of international designers that could create clothing from previously used clothes and fabrics to create new looks and styles.

Flamingo's image is more rooted in urban styles and young adult looks. Our image is more adult, with heavy incorporations from rave style, club wear and the underground counterculture. Rather than focus on the context of being sustainable, the message of my organization is more about creative, unadulterated expression through music and festivals. The message of sustainability is thus implied but not the core. The true core of my organization is in highlighting the talents of up-and coming designers like myself and some of my acquaintances.
Below is one of my favorite designers and good rave friend!
