First and foremost,

what is a newsletter?

To have an idea of a good foundation for a fall fashion newsletter, check out this article!

With fashion newsletter, I believe it is essential to:

  • keep on brand; keep to specific elements of your brand such as logo and color

  • stay with the color tone of the season; with fall fashion, it is important to use warm colors and soft textures

  • make it mobile; with the fast, constant changing world of fashion, it is easier to have a mobile version!

I also believe it is important to sketch a design before going to InDesign because... well, because, it's like mood boarding for a campaign. You need to see a skeleton of how you envision your newsletter.

....Furthermore, its less messy....

in my mock-up, I decided to use cut-outs and placeholders to create a semi-grid system. In doing so, I am able to use more defined, straight shapes to see how my articles and images are lain out.

Lastly, graphic elements!

pictures, a trendy cool looks, etc.

check out this LuluLemon Newsletter for graphic inspo!
